Spring into Creativity: Biggo Blocks Activities for Warmer Weather

Spring is here, which means it’s time to shake off the winter blues and head outside for some fresh air and sunshine! Warmer weather brings endless possibilities for outdoor play, and what better way to celebrate the season than with Biggo Blocks?

If your kids have been building indoors all winter, now’s the perfect time to take their creativity outside. Jumbo building blocks aren't just for stacking—they’re a fantastic way to encourage movement, problem-solving, and imaginative play in the great outdoors. Whether you’re looking for high-energy activities or relaxed creative projects, these ideas will have your kids playing, learning, and exploring all season long.

Turn Your Backyard into an Obstacle Course

Who doesn’t love a good challenge? With a little creativity and extra large building blocks, you can create an exciting obstacle course right in your backyard. Stack blocks to make stepping stones, build tunnels for kids to crawl through, and design balance beams for a fun and engaging way to practice coordination.

Want to make it a competition? Set up a timer and have kids race through the course to see who can complete it the fastest. You can even mix things up by adding new challenges like hopping on one foot, walking backward, or balancing a block on their head.

Build a Life-Size Outdoor Fort

Every kid dreams of having their own fort, and with jumbo building blocks, they can build one that’s just the right size! Whether they want to create a castle, a pirate hideout, or a secret clubhouse, the possibilities are endless.

Encourage them to personalize their fort by adding blankets, fairy lights, or handmade flags. It’s the perfect space for reading, pretend play, or just hanging out with friends on a warm spring afternoon.

Play Giant Tic-Tac-Toe with Jumbo Blocks

Take game night outdoors with an oversized version of tic-tac-toe! Lay out extra large building blocks to create a game grid, then use smaller blocks as X’s and O’s. Kids can take turns placing their pieces while practicing critical thinking and strategy.

For an extra challenge, try playing while standing on one foot or hopping between moves to turn it into a fun physical activity.

Set Up a Backyard Bowling Alley

Transform your yard into a bowling alley using jumbo blocks! Stack the blocks into pyramid-shaped “pins” at the end of a driveway or grassy area. Then, grab a lightweight ball (a beach ball works great) and take turns rolling it toward the pins.

This is a great way to introduce kids to basic physics concepts like force and motion while letting them burn off some energy. You can even add a scoring system and turn it into a family tournament!

Create a Rainbow-Themed Masterpiece

Spring is full of bright colors, so why not bring that energy into playtime? Challenge kids to build a giant rainbow archway using red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple blocks.

Not only does this activity teach color recognition and pattern-building, but it also allows kids to explore symmetry and balance as they stack their blocks. Plus, a rainbow arch makes a great photo backdrop for fun family pictures!

Bring Learning Outdoors with Shape and Letter Building

Who says learning can’t be fun? Use jumbo blocks to build giant letters, numbers, and shapes on the grass. Encourage kids to spell out words, create geometric patterns, or even build their names.

You can turn this into a game by calling out a letter or shape and having them race to build it first. It’s a fantastic way to reinforce early literacy and math skills while keeping kids active.

Spring into Big, Bold Fun!

Spring is the season of growth, new beginnings, and endless outdoor adventures. With jumbo building blocks, your kids can turn their backyard into a world of creativity, movement, and learning. From obstacle courses to colorful forts, there’s no limit to what they can build!
