DIY Build Guide: The Block Car

If your kids love cars, motion, and hands-on fun, this DIY guide is for you. The Biggo Blocks Wheel Set turns our jumbo building blocks into rolling masterpieces. It’s the perfect build for sparking imagination, teamwork, and hours of play.

Whether they want to make a race car, a delivery truck, or even a silly blocky bus, these building blocks for kids are the perfect starting point.

Here’s a simple build you can do with the Biggo Blocks Wheel Set.

Step-by-Step Build: How to Make Your Own Block Car

Step 1: Prep the base

Place an extra large building block upside down so the three hollow tubes face up. This keeps things stable while you attach parts.

Step 2: Clip the Couplings

Snap one coupling onto the left tube and another onto the right tube. Leave the center tube open.

Tip: The connectors should stick out the left and right side of the block so you can connect other cars and make a train.

Step 3: Mount the axle

Hold the black axle beam so the small center snap tab points toward the middle tube. Slide each end of the beam into the two couplings you installed in Step 2. You should see the beam seated evenly across both couplings.

Step 4: Add the wheels

Push one wheel onto each axle end until fully seated. Spin each wheel to confirm a smooth rotation.

Check: If a wheel wobbles, press again until it clicks or re-seat the axle in the couplings.

Step 5: Repeat for the second axle

Flip the base and repeat Steps 2–4 on the opposite side so you now have two axles and four wheels (Photos 8–9).

Goal: Both axles should sit parallel and the car should roll smoothly.

Step 6: Test-roll

Turn the build upright so the 8 studs face up and the wheels are on the floor. Give it a gentle push to test straight rolling. If it drifts, nudge the axles left or right until it tracks straight.

Step 7: Add your style

This is where imagination takes over. Kids can build doors, headlights, spoilers, or even characters riding on top. There’s no wrong way to design a car because there’s endless possibilities with jumbo blocks.

Challenge idea: Have a “Block Car Showdown” night where everyone in the family builds and races their own designs.
